Summary
DoggyDogWorld helps you find dog-friendly places, events, and community. We collect only
what's needed to provide those features and give you control over your data.
Information we collect
- Sign-in & profile (Apple / Google SSO): when you sign in with Sign in with
Apple or Google, we receive and use the profile information those services provide — your
name, email address, profile photo, and account identifier — to create and
display your DoggyDogWorld profile (your photo and name appear on your profile, posts, check-ins,
and messages). With Sign in with Apple you may hide your email, in which case we use Apple's relay address.
- Location: your device location, used to show nearby places and live activity.
Location is used while you use the app; precise location is optional and off by default.
- Content you create: dog profiles, reviews, photos, check-ins, events, messages, and safety reports.
- Device & usage: crash diagnostics (Firebase Crashlytics) to improve reliability.
How we use it
To operate features (maps, matching, events, messaging), keep the community safe (moderation,
safety reports), send notifications you opt into, and improve the app. We do not
sell your personal information, and we do not use your data to track you across
other companies' apps or websites.
Sharing
- Other users see the profile, reviews, and content you choose to share.
- Service providers: Google Firebase (auth, database, storage) and, where enabled,
Google Maps Platform and Vertex AI, under their data-processing terms.
- Legal: when required by law or to protect users' safety.
Your choices
- Edit or delete your profile, dogs, and content in-app.
- Revoke location, camera, and notification permissions in iOS Settings.
- Request full account deletion in-app (Profile → Account → Delete account).
Data retention & security
We retain data while your account is active and delete it on request. Data is encrypted in
transit and at rest via Firebase infrastructure.
Children
Not directed to children under 13 (or the age required in your region).
Changes
We'll post updates here and, for material changes, notify you in-app.
